Sioux Falls Photographer | Maggie Sweets | Forever Young Exhibit
In the beginning of the year, I made it a goal to create enough fine art photography portraits of one of my favorite subjects, children, to display at an event in my community. I not only wanted to display my work but raise awareness for an organization that has helped close friends and family of mine personally, Make-A-Wish, South Dakota. This organization helps children facing life-threatening diseases by making a wish of theirs, big or small, come true. In the last few years, these wishes have shown to lengthen the lives of children which is a miracle all in itself. When I contacted Make-A-Wish, they were ecstatic about the exhibit!
The exhibit was held at the Museum of Visual Materials, another organization that has a huge emphasis on providing activities and services to children in our community. For me, all of this was perfect! A children's photographer, raising awareness for a children's organization at a child focused venue in Sioux Falls.
The exhibit opened Saturday, December 8th at 5:00 PM and it was a delight to experience! I met so many people, artists, photographers and saw all of my amazing past clients & models who helped me in creating the pieces at the show! I want to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone! Below are images from the opening night! The exhibit will remain open on display until the end of February so feel free to stop by and check it out.
