Have I told you how much I love working with seniors? Well, I'm not sure I can say it enough. Seniors are one of my favorite subjects and I love seeing their personalities come to life in front of my lens. From the moment we start the process of designing our session and I am talking to them on the phone, I hear the excitement in their voice and all of the ideas that they have for their portraits. During the session, along with photographing them, I get to learn about their dreams and hobbies and YES, though I often make a complete dork of myself, I get genuine giggles. I love building relationships with all of my clients and with seniors, I often follow their social media and watch them go out to do exactly what they had in mind. It is so awesome! To this day, I still get messages from past seniors I have worked with just saying hello and updating me on what they are doing! 

Betty was a senior I had the pleasure of photographing this past December. First of all, can we all just take a second to agree how drop dead gorgeous this girl is? I asked her what she wanted to be after she graduates and she said a "realtor" as well as some thoughts about modeling. I replied "Yes Betty, you can model alright!". The session was pretty effortless. We started the session in Downtown Sioux Falls, headed over to a local park with beautiful prairie grass and finished up at the studio. As you can see, Betty is wearing a beautiful traditional Ethiopian gown in the last few images. What a beautiful way to honor her family and culture! Choosing what images to edit from her gallery was very difficult for me however, I am very happy at the images we ended up with and the images she chose!
